Birthday Cake, Swimming & The Zoo

There is a LOT to update. The debate season is coming to an end and that means lots of travel for us. Justin left for Idaho on Thursday and will be back on Tuesday. We'll head immediately to Austin on Wednesday morning until next Tuesday. Jackson is going to spend the weekend in Houstin with his Nana & Grandpa.

Last week Justin was staying at a hotel in KC and it had an indoor pool, so Jackson and I went for a visit on Sunday and Jackson got to go swimming with daddy. He LOVED it! And he got to rock some of the new swim trunks he got for his birthday.


Jackson is becoming a lot more mobile- he crawls all over the house and there is now a gate at the stairwell to the basement. He has however successfully figured out how to go up the two steps between his playroom and his bedroom. He has also mastered "cruising" on foot from one piece of furniture to another


We have been keeping busy with playdates, we went to several St. Paddy's day themed playgroups & parties, have been baking cookies with friends, attended a pancake breakfast and been spending many afternoons at the park.

On St. Patrick's day we went with our playgroup to the zoo. Jackson rocked his shades- which he has been rocking quite a bit lately. It is safe to say that the Manhattan, KS zoo is not the greatest zoo in the world but we had a great day out with our friends.
