It's been a long while since I updated the blog and a lot has happened since the last update. First, we had an ice storm which brought limbs off of most of the trees in town taking with it the electricity of over 20 thousand people. We lost our power for three days which totally ruined my baking run. With the power went our heat. Even though we have gas heat, our furnace is electric, so after three days of no heat the temperature inside the house fell to a low 41 degrees. But, luckily for us our power returned and we were able to move back into our house. Our holiday travels included 40 hours on the road. First we drove to Dallas and stayed with Scott and Darci. We ate some delicious Ethiopian food with them and then left the next day for Houston. Once in Houston we finished our Christmas shopping, celebrated Justin's 31st birthday and headed for Louisiana. Christmas in Louisiana was great, we saw the whole fam which included a stop at Justin's aunt & uncle Pat & Barbara's place for one night. This picture here is all the women on Christmas day.
Now we are back in Dallas for the night on the way home. We'll be home tomorrow.
As you can see, I am getting bigger and bigger. The bubba moves on a regular basis now and sometimes my stomach even jumps up.
Tuesday will mark 30 weeks of pregnancy which is officially 7 1/2 months! Ten more weeks to go and I am confident the next ten weeks will be met with increasing physical uncomfortability.
Wednesday we'll go back to the birthing center for the glucose test which will tell us if my glucose levels are high and if I have pregnancy induced diabetes. After this appointment we will go back every two weeks until the last month when we'll go every week......Folks, we are getting close to the bubba's arrival!
holy moly Sarah. you are as far along as i was last time we saw each other.
