That's how we are feeling at our house right now, Yucky. Justin has a mild pneumonia (if there is such a thing), Levi has RSV and was at the ER for chest x-rays and a breathing treatment on Valentine's day. Justin has not left the house since Friday, but last night he did not have a single coughing fit, so we think he may be on his way to kicking his sickness. Levi is doing ok. We checked in with the pediatrician yesterday. The antibiotic he is on makes him vomit, but we have been told this is normal. So, he takes it and then pukes within the next 20 minutes. The other night, he puked on our bed. This was upsetting because our bedding is dry clean only. So, Monday, I went out and got a 2nd set of bedding so we could have something on our bed while the other bedding was being dry cleaned.......small town living means dry cleaning takes a week.
Things are looking better though, and we are looking forward to a trip to Dallas on my birthday weekend. Justin will be working with the team and the kids and I will visit our friends the Herndon's who are expecting a baby boy in April or May. The Dr. told me that although it would take Levi a couple of weeks to really kick his RSV, that shouldn't stop us from going to Dallas.
We are patiently awaiting the arrival of spring. We look forward to walking to the playground down the street every day, to the ease of leaving the house without bundling everyone up, stroller rides and in general we look forward to not worrying about the kids not being warm enough. I have always really enjoyed the winter, but I have to admit that with two kids it is a lot more difficult.
We think there are about 4 weeks left before we'll be all clear and done with the winter. We'll just hold out until then.
