We've been in Houston for a week now. Justin has been spending his days working at the Houston Urban Debate League Workshop and I have been hangin' with the fam. Highlights include, a trip to Gymboree, sing-along time at the local library, a good bit of shopping and dinner with several friends. The first night we were in town we had dinner at Eric & Jenny Emerson's house where we were delighted to see Justin's high school debate partner Jeff and longtime friend of my family Charlie Chafer. We also enjoyed Eric's FANTASTIC culinary skills he had a little something for everyone's dietary restrictions. Last night we had dinner with longtime family friends of the Green's, the Waltons- not the ones from TV, this is actually a real Walton family. Mike & Tracy Walton recently had a daughter Emmeline who was born in May and it was fantastic to see her. And it was great to see them. Kathleen Walton brought a delicious chocolate cream pie which I decided to indulge in AGAIN this afternoon (so much for losing baby weight quickly). Tonight Justin and I are going on a DATE without any kids which should be fun for us, and hopefully not too much of a struggle for Randy and Frankie. I have yet to leave Levi for more than a few minutes and as I type this, I am pumping in preparation for our outing. Tomorrow we will have dinner with the von Brecht family, which is always super fun and finally on Sunday we will go to an Astros game. Frankie suggested we leave the kids home with her and go to the game....and well, I hope tonight goes well so she doesn't feel like she has signed on for too much on Sunday.
Jackson and Levi have been having fun too- we only REALLY know that Jackson is having fun because Levi can't tell us as much. Jackson has been awesome, he has picked up several new words & phrases this week like "lighttttt" he really emphasizes the T sound and hae VERY good diction. Other words & phrases he enjoys are "UP", "night night", "love you" "Hi", "Gotta Go" "bye bye" and "all done". He has also been enjoying the pool quite a bit with daddy:

Levi is three weeks old now and is still sleeping quite a bit. He does have a fairly severe but predictable case of baby acne, but we know it will subside in a short few weeks. Here's a nice shot of him in bed this morning:

Jackson is taking to his brother well, he likes to say "hi" to him and play this little piggy with his toes. He has yet to be to aggressive with him and we havn't even really had to say "no" to him in his interactions with Levi.
All in all, things are going quite well.
That sounds like so much fun! Kiernan also says "light" but she emphasizes the "LLLLLLLLaaa-ight" psrt of it. We should have them compare diction.
