4 month Check Up

Jackson had his 4 month check up today, it was pretty good except that he got 4 shots. He has been really happy the last couple of days, we have had a pretty sweet routine and he has been happily playing during his awake time- here is a picture of happy Jackson before he got his shots:

Today we confirmed that Jackson is growing- a whole 3 inches taller in the last 8 weeks! He is now in the 75th percentile for height which is a vast improvement over his last appointment when he was in the 17th for height. He has also now doubled his weight weighing in at 13lbs 13 ounces. The Dr gave us to go ahead to start things like Rice Cereal and vegetables, but also said that there was no hurry. We've tried a little, but I don't think he is really ready yet. We might wait to seriously try until we get home from Vermont in August.

Jackson has not been too excited ever since he got his shots. He slept for about 6 hours once we got home and is a little cranky. Here is a shot of not so ahppy Jackson & Daddy trying to keep things up tempo:

Today was a good day for Jackson to sleep all day because it is rainy & nasty and has been all day.

In other news, the K-State Debate summer workshop for high school students has begun. I decided to bow out of working with the camp this year, and am having a good time holding down the fort. There is more activity in the house as many of our friends from out of town are here working at the workshop.

hopefully tomorrow will be nicer, we can get Jackson in a better mood and spend some time outside!
