Splash Park Opening

Today the new splash park opened two blocks away from our house. We went twice today, for the ribbon cutting and then again a couple hours later. It was pretty crazy at the ribbon cutting, there were hundreds of kids there. When we went back two hours later, it was much better there were a lot less people and the bubba was able to cruise around with daddy. We are VERY excited about this new addition to the park. Next summer they will open a crazy new pool complex that will also be SUPER fun. This reminds us of why we moved to this neighborhood. Sometimes our student neighbors have parties, but in the 4 years we have lived here that has only really bothered us once. But proximity to the park, walking to work, and walking to coffee shops and restaurants in Aggieville more than makes up for the problems we have with renters on our block. There is no subdivision in town that offers these kinds of amenities, so we think we made the right decision for our family in moving downtown.
